Introduction of CEEAA
China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA) was established in October 2015. It is a national social organization composed of institutions and individuals related to engineering education. It is mainly responsible for the organization and implementation of engineering education accreditation in China. It is a national member of China Association of Science and Technology (CAST).
CEEAA is committed to improving the quality of engineering education in China, serving the reform and development of engineering education, meeting the needs of the government, industry and society, and promoting the international competitiveness of China's engineering education.
In June 2016, China officially became a full member of Washington Accord. Ever since then, the engineering degrees accredited by CEEAA have been recognized within Washington Accord, which means CEEAA has been recognized the substantial equivalence of engineering programs in satisfying the academic requirements for the practice of engineering at the professional level.
