On January 20, 2021, the CAST Center for Professional Training and Services and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) based in the UK signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Deepening Cooperation in Engineers’ Competence Building. Both sides considered that the procedures of the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (3rd Version) and the CAST’s General Specification of Competency Assessment for Engineers (T/CAS326-2018) meet the requirements of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) on the practices and assessment of professional engineers’ competence and attributes. Both sides will jointly remain consistent in the registration procedures in the future and seek other cooperation in professional registration and qualification certification.
