To Relevant Units,

To deepen the exchange and cooperation in engineering capacity building between China and Indonesia, the Capacity Enhancement Training Program for Engineers in Indonesia, guided by the China Association for Science and Technology and Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia, hosted by its Continuing Professional Development Committee, would be organized by School of Continuing Education of Tsinghua University and the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center, co organized by the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce,and supported by PT HUAWEI Tech Investment. The program is scheduled to take place from November 13-15 in Jakarta, Indonesia. It will leverage Tsinghua University’s global influence and international educational resources, inviting experienced academic and industry experts from both China and Indonesia to jointly deliver the training. The goal is to enhance the professional capabilities and international competitiveness of engineers from both countries, while providing high-level engineering and technological talent support for international collaborative projects between China and Indonesia

The relevant details are as follows:

1. Time, Duration, and Location

Registration Time: November 13, 2024 (08:00-09:00)

Training Dates: November 13-15, 2024 (09:00-12:00; 14:00-17:00 each day)

Duration: 24 academic hours

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

2. Participants

Engineers and technical personnel working in the engineering and technology fields in Indonesia

3. Training Content and Methods

This training program is designed from the perspectives of modern engineering, integrated innovation, and striving for excellence in long-term continuing education. It includes content on sustainable development and professional capability building for engineers, cutting-edge technology, international engineering project management, innovative thinking, and leadership. At the same time, the program aims to expand engineers’ forward-looking and systematic understanding of complex modern engineering problems, enhance their ability to innovatively solve practical issues, and support their lifelong learning and continuous professional development.

Language of Instruction: English / Chinese with English Translation

4. Certificates and Academic Hours

①Participants who meet the requirements by completing all learning tasks will receive a certificate for the “Capacity Enhancement Training Program for Engineers in Indonesia,” issued by Tsinghua University’s School of Continuing Education, with the “Tsinghua University Continuing Education Certificate Seal.” Certificate numbers can be checked on the Tsinghua University Continuing Education and Certification website.

②The academic hours indicated on the certificate can be counted towards the 2024 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities for members of the Chinese Society of Engineers.

5. Training Costs

Participation in the training program is complimentary. However, participants will be responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.

6. Registration

Applicants are required to complete the registration form (see Attachment1) and submit it to xiongxin@mail.tsinghua.edu.cn by October 21. Please note that the number of available slots for this training program is limited, and participation will be confirmed based on the committee’s notification.
